AP Track Review
Sunburn by Asheville, North Carolina indie punks, Tongues of Fire is abrasively fun and while there are punk tropes to be had by all, the band embraces them fully, tattoos them on their skin and own them in a total way. Sunburn is from the band's album "Everyone Hates Us". The result is super potent, mosh worthy and feels like OC, (California) surf tinged punk to me (thought of Audacity a bit), the music breakdown is bad ass. The whole amalgam wouldn't work if all legs of the punk table didn't rock but they do so well. Lowell Hobb's punk vox (guitar) chews up the scenery, the bass jams courtesy of Zakk Tomkalski, guitar (sometimes synth) flair by Ben Ashbury and Eli Raymer is a monster on the drums. Rock on.
