AP Track Review
Vern Matz' latest track Skyscapers is an older song made fresh as produced by fellow Brooklyn-ites band Toledo. It features Vern Matz kind of sad pop sound and as the band reveals is about "mysterious headaches, unstable ceilings, lost cats and spoiled youth." If you haven't heard these guys before you might just fall in love while listening to this track. It is a common occurrence when listening to their beautiful yet forlorn aesthetic, you want to, at least, fall in love with something or someone so you can eventually have your heart broken.
Skyscrapers is the first single from their new upcoming album due to drop in February of 2020 as part of Decaf Records, a newly formed collective whose roster includes TOLEDO, Vern Matz, and Bluish.
l can't wait.

THE FACTS AS WE KNOW THEM - PRESS NOTES:
Hi-fi DIY tunes for your autumn blues. Formed at Yale University, the group is often described as a bunch of hooligan folk rockers who stand opposed to brunch culture. The band is led by Daniel Belgrad, a Korean American who mistrusts penguins due to their tendency to perform acts of radical violence. Joining him is the elusive Michael Lituchy, a Taurus who secretly writes songs in the twilight while raising cattle in remote Connecticut. Call 310-310-0888 to order Michael’s cheese, or to chat about the deficiencies of modern dating.
