Singer-songwriter Axel Flóvent based out of Reykjavík via the remote fishing village of Husavik where he was raised possesses a vocal aesthetic that feels deeply personal and deeply introspective hinged on melodies that push and pull at your heartstrings and on his latest offering entitled Tourist his voice both falls apart with quiet reticence and soars with painful declarations. Acoustically cut with big orchestral eruptions, Flóvent builds big chamber pop tones with alternative folk bones at it's core. Lovely.
