"one foot in the clouds and one on the ground"
At Firebug's psyche blues rock core stands Juliette Tworsey (vox, rhythm, guitar, mandolin) and Jules Shapiro (lead guitar, slide guitar, organ) and the track Fire,Water & Bread will satisfy your need for divergent rock. Tworsey's heavenly vibrato and down from the gut vocal aesthetic feels one part, blues, two parts Gothic rock and three parts Garden Rock psychedelia. There is also a poised sense of art rock and baroque pop in the artistically poised lilt that feels so amazingly easy and self aware. While the track is equally dolled up with potent lead guitar licks and rich rock gospel keys, it is her vocal performance that steals the show.
