Erotic Secrets of Pompeii's new single "They Wouldn’t Let Me Write My Book" feels like a hammer to the brain but in a good way
The industrial dark wave diatribal, They Wouldn't Let Me Write My Book, by Bristol based apocalyptic art-punk band Erotic Secrets of Pompeii starts off in a sort of slow fuzzy insane kind of way that felt almost like a twisted Bad to The Bone (GT) and then all hell breaks loose. The song slides through, stomps over various genres getting funky along the way even and at one point I thought of Faith No More. It is a fun ride though, a kind of post punk and experimental rock collision done in a feral way.
I wouldn't expect anything less from a band called Erotic Secrets of Pompeii that rather sounds like some lost John Steinbeck novel.
