"kiss kiss me passionately..."
Pansy’s new track “Woman of Ur Dreams” is wonderfully jangly and well structured to effervesce soulful and spellbinding sound. The pseudonym of Vivian McCall of the Chicago group Jungle Green, Pansy aims to share her experience of transitioning, life and artistry through this music. Recorded on vintage equipment to tape, the lo fi sound is solidified and visceral. The lyricism is full of heart and integrity, poetically illustrating McCall’s personal experiences with becoming her true self while possessing relatability and catharsis. “Woman of Ur Dreams” is a warm embrace of lush and dreamy rock n roll, and we can’t wait to hear the rest of the self titled album “Pansy” which will soon be released on tape via Earth Libraries.

More than three years ago, singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Vivian McCall, of the band Jungle Green, began transitioning, a process which inspired the songs that make up her self-titled debut album as Pansy--a record that proves that every moment on the journey carries an incredible depth and complexity of emotion. The album was recorded to tape on vintage equipment in Chicago, Illinois.
