"you, do you know where you've been...?"
"Cancel Culture", the term itself, the construct feels like it is turning the corner, maybe it is about to be cancelled, ceased and desisted. I don't even know if it a real thing, sometimes I think it is another term for capitalism. People don't like what you serve up and they refuse to eat it. The musical outfit Bunko bring up some interesting points and do it in a fanciful way. The sound on "Cancel Culture" feels like something in between Devo and hmm? maybe The Offspring after being stewed and blended in a kind of Zappaian way with dashes of Oingo Boingo for good measure. Loving the over-reaching oooohs and aaaahs and that down beat lead line. My apologies to those to young to even relate to the aforementioned references.
Step down this rabbit hole.

James Lilja was one of the founding members of the Offspring who went on to become a surgeon. After years of concentrating on his career, he was yearning for a serious a creative musical project. After finding Vatche Bezdikian in an operating room the two starting experimenting in the music lab. They were later joined by Dan Peake who is an inventor and guitar player extraordinaire. They started concocting revolting music made for audiences that like to be revolted. Bunko is their name because they are bunk. Yet so is the rest the world... and their favorite activity is to point out hypocrisies via unique musical effluence.
