"astral wave.... pull me through"
"Holy Moon", the first solo release from London based Moroccan British multi-instrumentalist Adam Znaidi (Formerly of The Physics House Band) is a veritable maelstrom of psych fused rock cut with jazz and proggy post punk tones. It can feel at times like a sideways whirlwind and other times like a sonic fist fight of Zappaesque proportions. The incredibly dense and ferocious drumming by Barney Sage (Luo) is a thing of expansive beauty and the synth solo courtesy of Niels Broos has a prog rock allure and had me thinking of a hallucinogenic iconic blend of Keith Emerson and Edgar Winter.
"Holy Moon" is the first track from Adam's debut EP 'Pageant Smile' - "a cosmic space ride through a Technicolor wormhole of psychedelic jazz rock".
