"Now, now the phone rings every time in a rate that I can’t believe a straight face with a racing mind with emotions in my sleeve..."
Despite the fact that the Wodan Boys hail from the Netherlands (were I was born) their latest heavy hitting "Horrific Terrific" with it's feral tom tom beat, feedback chirping guitars, and throttling bass lines somehow has a vast Americana rock feel. Maybe a myopic statement, but I hear the kind of big romantic flavor of a band like the Killers who have expanded and blended the heartland rock sound of iconic artists like Bruce Springsteen, The War on Drugs. Also feeling the density of artists like Japandroids and Titus Andronicus. Whatever the influences, I absolutely love the heaviness and soaring melodies that Wodan Boys bring to this and a lot of their songs.
Wodan Boys say that "Horrific Terrific" is a "peptalk, a love song and a bunch of personal statements against those who look away or feel unfairly disadvantaged"
I want to some day hear these guys live in the front of the stage blowing my ears off.

Here we go, Wodan Boys band bio: Let's be honest. You don't need another list of bands we all like nor a bunch of metaphors that make us look cool. High energy loudmouth rockmusic, that’s basically what it's about. Balancing on a tin line between chaotic violent guitars and cheeky melodic hooks. The second EP is better than the first one we think. Yet we feel the first one is pretty cool as well. Wow. Godspeed, Tommy, Mikkie B, Olly and Timo.
