"here's my heart I'll hand it over / as a place where you can tuck into / and pull apart with your wailing thunder..."
Music with hard and soft edges, indie rock chunkiness that feels accessible but drops into dissonant places, 60's psychedelia propelled by embracing bass lines, sparkly semi-hollow body electric guitars (at least in my mind), mellotron tones, a mercurial blend of jangle pop, twee, art pop, indie rock pushed through acerbic lens, wonderful askew poetry told by a beautiful voice in a conversational way. That is just about perfect in my mind. That is "Sweet Cyclone" by Tinted House, a five-piece band with members from the USA, UK, and Germany based out of Germany.
My first introduction to Tinted House. Falling further in love with this introductory track each time I listen. Oh, and the Official Video is entertaining and kind of disturbing in a funny way. Nice to meet you guys.
