The bending spaces of "Saffron" by Mississippi bred, Nashville based Jacuzzi Suite feels like they come from mechanically altered matter. They feel like sounds honed by large 60's analog machines pushing dense transitioning sounds through ring modulators, low frequency oscillators and envelope generators or even older vintage machines like a trautonium. Colliding with smashed drum beats, faint organ like keys and electric guitar, the feeling is like a vintage future and even though I realize "Saffron" maybe computerized modeling, I see this all in my minds eye.
I do love the experimental sense, the glitches, that electronic meow / yawn of sorts and vocals that exist between a transmission from space and a flick on a string between soup cans. It all make me smile because it feels so whimsical and other worldly.
