GUNMOLL and the alt rock Spaghetti Western slap and tickle of "L.O.V.E"

The alt rock Spaghetti Western slap and tickle of "L.O.V.E", by Dutch alt-rockers GUNMOLL, feels pulpy and stabs me in the heart in a direct way. I have been enamored with the 1996 soundtrack from Baz Luhrmann's 'Romeo + Juliet' since purchasing it at The Tower Records in Buena Park, California on CD of course. "L.O.V.E" with it's blend of alt rock / punk disco rhythms and Jolien Grunberg's spiciest of vocal allure (and guitar) with Bram Bol's surfy pop noir western guitar embellishments anchored by the bottom heavy pulse courtesy of Koen van Bemmelen on bass and Pim de Roij on drums is perfectly rendered. The sensation is slightly seedy motels, bar fights, escapes in vintage muscle cars all cast in red and blue light. 

Oh, and back to the 'Romeo + Juliet' soundtrack, "L.O.V.E" fits perfectly (PERFECTLY) in between
Pretty Piece Of Flesh by One Inch Punch and Whatever (I Had A Dream) by Butthole Surfers. Oh and the lyrical content here could be the framework of a larger story, like at a pitch meeting for a dark Netflix of Hulu binger. I am absolutely loving "L.O.V.E"!

Burgeoning Dutch alt-rockers GUNMOLL enchant their striking brand of rock with the temptation, danger and magnetism of the most blood-curdling crime novels. The band, featuring Jolien Grunberg (vocals/guitar), Bram Bol (guitar/production), Koen van Bemmelen (bass), and Pim de Roij (drums), paints stories of romance, betrayal, surging adrenaline and anthemic tension, partly anchored in Jolien's Romanian roots.
