"Lovers fading away from it all / Back to simple times / No more running late for the sky..."
The soaring grounded folk indie rock blessings of "All These Things", by Los Angeles based seeTrees, are many and feel as timeless as love and heartache and everything in between. Perfectly rendered, the homespun aesthetic, the foundational sounds of 60's / 70's folk rock that have tentacles in heartland rock, in folk indie, in cow punk and more seep easily under your skin, firing old memories and memories to come. I am loving Drew Lawrence's (hit songwriter formerly of The Dales) vocal countenance comprised of a beautiful lilt and vulnerable comfort too, classic golden indie rock voice that makes you feel things. In terms of the musical bed, so well orchestrated by L.A. drummer / producer Luke Adams, the bass and drums dance holds things down, while acoustic keys punctuate in spots and a lovely nostalgic Hammond organ sound brings you to the church of rock as a framework for plucking western rock guitar and a super killer lead too.
This sound, these feels are perfectly adjacent to the sonic / emotional iconography of Tom Petty, The War on Drugs, Wilco, Cracker and bedrock artists like the Kinks, Jackson Browne, Crosby /Stills / Nash and Young.
"'All These Things' is a love song longing for less," songwriter and frontman Drew Lawrence explains. "It's a pondering of a life that disengages from chasing materialism and embraces the peace that comes from just being present with the ones you love."
In the end, "All These Things" (to me) feels like a forever song. The kind of song that will be played at weddings and grace emotional movies about how love and hardened friendships can conquer all.
LINER NOTES (excerpted / bracketed):
[The story of “All These Things” stretches back to December 2024, when the group debuted it live during their performance at the iconic Los Angeles’s songwriter venue, Hotel Cafe. Since then, it has become a staple of nearly every seeTrees set, steadily growing into a fan favorite long before its official release. That early momentum mirrors the band's own origin story. Formed in Los Angeles in 2024, seeTrees grew out of the creative partnership between songwriter Drew Lawrence, formerly of the Americana outfit The Dales, and producer Luke Adams. Lawrence, who co-wrote Christina Perri's multi-platinum hit "Jar of Hearts," joins Adams in crafting evocative rock songs that blend folk, Americana, and classic rock influences into something both nostalgic and refreshingly current. Following the release of their debut album, Greater Than The Past, the group is currently on a West Coast summer tour ahead of their second album, due this December. The band’s previously released singles "Break in the Light," "Easy Times," and "Lights Out in the City" have earned praise from Big Takeover Magazine, Atwood Magazine, Buzzbands.LA, Rock Era Magazine, and received airplay on 88.5 FM - The SoCal Sound.]

Lovers fading away from it all
Back to simple times
No more running late for the sky
One bed apartment
Room for no one
Memories reborn
A love that was never torn
We could be all these things
Nothing and everything
We could be all these things
and more
Shadows fleeing the waves of the light
as we slowly disengage
Love filling the empty space
Sparrows riding the tail of the wind
Forgetting what to miss
Nothing left to resist
We could be all these things
Nothing and everything
We could be all these things
Back to simple times
No more running late for the sky
One bed apartment
Room for no one
Memories reborn
A love that was never torn
We could be all these things
Nothing and everything
We could be all these things
and more
Shadows fleeing the waves of the light
as we slowly disengage
Love filling the empty space
Sparrows riding the tail of the wind
Forgetting what to miss
Nothing left to resist
We could be all these things
Nothing and everything
We could be all these things

We could be all these things
Nothing and everything
We could be all these things
We could be all these things

seeTrees was formed in 2024 when hit songwriter, Drew Lawrence, formerly of the Americana band The Dales, connected with Los Angeles-based drummer and producer, Luke Adams. Drawing inspiration from artists like Tom Petty, The War on Drugs, and Wilco, the project has a throwback feeling with a modern sense of renewal.
The debut album, Greater Than the Past, produced by Adams, was released in December 2025. It is a journey through textures of analogue synthesizers, pulsing rhythm tracks, and ethereal guitars. This common thread unites the influences of indie rock, Americana, and folk.
The band played 50 West Coast shows in 2025, from San Diego to Seattle, sometimes opening for bigger acts like The White Buffalo. The band's first single from its sophomore album, "Relivin' It," was released this past February and will be followed by 4 more singles and a full summer west coast tour schedule.
Los Angeles, CA — Southern California band seeTrees returns with their latest single “All These Things,” a warm, reflective ode to finding love and fulfillment beyond material possessions. Rooted in the belief that life’s richest moments often come once you let go of the endless pursuit of more, their new track puts a spotlight on love, presence, and contentment. "All These Things" is available now on all major streaming platforms.
