New
Sweden's The Grand New Wrong, on their latest track My Only Friend, pushes power pop tones through garage rock / grunge rock filters. The result is a big and brash almost 70's Brit pop meets 90's Seattle grunge rock sound. It is deliciously heavy and lush, thoroughly guitar driven full throttle rock with hints of blues rock in between the (guitar) lines.
The band hails from Alingsås / Göteborg and band mates Josef Andrén, Björn Granat, Sebastian Johammar and Emil Ardané pull inspiration from iconic band's like The Beatles, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Screaming Trees, Alice in Chains, Quasi and Sleater-Kinney. New album "Smooch" out now.
