AP Track Review
Object Permanence a track by Byre, the musical project varied talents from other bands around the core of Aaron Tanner (Off-Ox) and Zach Zint (Thunder Dreamer) with added depth and allure from Spencer (drums with Hella, Solos), Rob Crow (Pinback, Goblin Cock) and Ryan Grisham (guitarist of Mock Orange). With such different creatives with different aesthetic, this project could of gone a myriad of ways. From this first glimpse and on Object Permanence the aesthetic is surprisingly pop inspired though twisted and wrung out with proggy flourishes and over layered synth driven sounds. The bass lines are plentiful and the drum work almost has a Keith Moonish hyper active touch pushed through Tod Rundgren filters. You could listen to this song a hundred times and follow different layers each time... it is beautifully inspired, dynamically rich and quietly insane. Love it.
From the "Here In Dead Lights" EP out now.

THE FACTS AS WE KNOW THEM - PRESS NOTES:
Led by Aaron Tanner (Off-Ox) and Zach Zint (Thunder Dreamer), Byre crafts catchy and captivating bass and synth driven songs.
An awe-inspiring example of trust and true collaboration, the richly textured soundscapes on Here In Dead Lights are given even more depth and direction with the creative drum work of Spencer Seim(Hella, Solos), the exceptionally prolific Rob Crow (Pinback, Goblin Cock), and also features guitarist Ryan Grisham (Mock Orange).
The resulting EP is a stunning set of songs that are immediately beautiful, unforgettable and unique.
Also of note, Aaron Tanner is owner of Melodic Virtue, a small, hard- working independent publisher that produces limited-run coffee table books on underground bands from the ’80s and ’90s. Aaron has recently published a book on the Butthole Surfers and has a book on Ministry due out this December.
