AP Track Review
House / Home by Eau Claire, Wisconsin native Hannah Connolly is one of those purely wrought folk songs pulled from the heart and while it may be painted in classic ways it's strength and import hinges on Connolly's vocal presentation itself. Her lilt is beautiful and sometimes a bit torn and her aesthetic is self assured and real. As singer-songwriter she feels each syllable that falls from her lips.
Of the song she shares:
"This song is about the feeling of losing home, and how home can be anywhere with the people you love, but it can also feel like nowhere will ever be home again when they are gone."

THE FACTS AS WE KNOW THEM - PRESS NOTES:
Hannah Connolly. The Eau Claire, Wisconsin native embraces the heartache of grief and the change that comes with it in her new track, "House/Home."
"This song is about the feeling of losing home, and how home can be anywhere with the people you love, but it can also feel like nowhere will ever be home again when they are gone," says Connolly on the track. Hannah's fragile vocals shine atop this acoustic track as she sings, "This house ain't home without you, so there's no reason left to stay." Hannah's way with words is simply poetic and her unadulterated, intimate vocals can bring tears to your eyes.
"Bon Iver isn't the only Eau Claire export you should have on your radar. Meet Hannah Connolly. The Wisconsin artist's latest track is 'From Where You Are,' a raw, stunning folk song that acts as a memoir about coping with the loss of her brother."
"Connolly has a poet's delivery with her music..."
"I'd say with my hand on my heart that this is one of the most honest and poignant songs about losing someone I've ever heard." - A123
"House/Home" is the second release from Connolly's debut album (due out later this year) and follows the release of recent single "From Where You Are."
