Mathieu “Wolf” and Zachary “Crow”
The neo-folk duo Wolf & Crow based out of San Francisco, Cali spin tall tales burning on acoustic lines, animal beats and rustic slide guitar. There is a filmic quality to their sound on Midnight, in the sense, that there is a soft harshness, the kind of pulled back (buffered) sound perfect in a film that suggest distance in both time and maybe even space. With the swing of movement and the foreign film aspect of the rap it sways in an avant garde way but with a pop sheen.
