"heading to the US in March"
I first heard Brunch on Mr. Jack Bacon's amazing Tuckshop Community Podcast / (LIVE) Exploding Head Sessions broadcast out of London. I think I have been a contributor to the Podcast now for 2 years and it has been damn lovely being a tiny part of that stellar show. I think I have been informing Jack on some new music and he certainly has turned me onto bands that I might not have found otherwise except for his great job at curating music for his show.
BRUNCH is one hell of a find or catch from Jack and it is so stellar to seem them play three of their songs live at "The Bookhouse", a South East London Recording Studio. The quartet is so incredibly adept at what they do that these live recording could just be a part of an album as is. On Working From Home, 30 Year Old Man and Normal Men (Imagine) there is no misstep. The utter dirty blistering feedback, half step bendy notes, and feral viscous leads by both Adrian McCusker-Delicado and Sean Brook whose vox are insanely dramatic and art punk mad (lest I forget that Adrian adds key strokes too), Tom Rundell's grunge bottom bass and Bobby MacPherson's sideways and upside down drumming -Keith Moon Crazy (killer) it is all goddamn perfect. I can't say enough about them. They will clearly blow up but I feel like they are woefully under-known if that makes any sense. I mean, they are like an exquisite pairing of the most powerful and divergent aspects of Modest Mouse and Weezer and Metz combined.
They are heading over to the US (dates way down below) but alas are not going to make it to the West Coast where I reside.
