"I'm drunk again, it's not very romantic"
L.A. based duo Jack Rabbit on their elusive Drunk have a sound that feels like some hidden 45 record that you found in your dad's attic. The dreamy sound with hits of ambient flutter feels like a 50's folk ballad with hints of Tex-Mex guitar strums. The beautiful melodies and intertwined harmonies suggest a sense of 60's Chamber pop (minus the descriptor necessary added orchestration). The loveliness here almost hide the charming (and sardonic) lyrics but I am glad they are so truthful. The duo share:
"This song embodies the moment you realize you're totally on your own."
Truthful indeed.

THE FACTS AS WE KNOW THEM - PRESS NOTES:
Jack Rabbit is an LA-based duo who’ve set out to bring the beloved sweet tones of folk music back into the mainstream world. With roots from Mexico to Texas, each song reflects a journey through life and friendship. Their two-part harmonious sound makes any audience feel undone, vulnerable and hopelessly engaged.
