"days gone up in flames"
On The Sea of A Thousand Suns, singer-songwriter, guitarist Leonardo Faillace sings, "there's no time left to tell... if we're all gone in a detrimental homeostatic state, you gotta call from the demon that's down your hall", yes, seriously. The lyrics delivered with a cool croon and bounce amid the lovely double lead guitar and piano downbeats feels classic and timeless. I remember driving around with one of my sister's boyfriends. I was maybe 12 years old and I thought he looked cool with one tattoo on his bicep and on that car radio I would hear rock songs with phrases, sentences that were intriguing but pop poetic. That is what you have here. Those shiny lures floating in the sea of all inclusive sounds. Faillace writes some classic sounds with evocative lyrics.
Leonardo Faillace was born in Chicago, his parents moved around alot (Las Vegas, South Carolina, Kentucky, and France) but in 8th grade found himself in North Carolina. He began playing music when he was a freshman in high school.
