"and if you ever change your mind and you don't want to sing your part"
London based, The Good Manners, (aka Gabriel, originally from Guatemala and Marcos, originally from Spain) create chill pop songs with diverse musical inspirations. There songs are always so spirited with love and lack of pretense. Mi Amor with it's Samba and Bossa Nova Brazilian tones is sweet. The boys start of with a vintage sound injecting nostalgia, a black and white artifice that blooms soon enough into a myriad of colors, colors of love and life.
The intoxicating shuffle, dancing guitar and Gabriel and Marcos' bouncing forlorn vocal aesthetic feels like a tender embrace. They lyrics are beautifully poetic and the jazz guitar riffs furious. If this doesn't send your hips moving then you may need a heart transplant.
