"so you come to far"
Sleemo are a three piece alternative / punk outfit out of Norwich (UK) and I'm Not Superman is the opening track from the band's 2020 EP "Mutation Of"). It has heavy grunge and metal manipulations (at least at first) but when you hear Billy George Utting's wide eyed, snarky, wailing vocal aesthetic things feel a bit more strange, more crazy. There is something about his affectations that feel punk Shakespearean in some way, stylistic over pronunciations like he is cultured droog (A Clockwork Orange). This artistic / crazy flare fits rather nicely when the autter heaviness gives way to a psychedelic Halloween carnival ride aesthetic. It is a big change, so you will know when it happens but don't worry, the song falls back into heavy grunge and metal madness.
The band says:
The lyrical idea behind the song explains how people can’t quite manage their own self control and how it can affect them mentally. It partly explains that if you don't have any self control over the actions you make, it can change people's opinion on you and somewhat urge them to see you in a different light.
Sleemo is Jacob Brooks (Drums), Jack Andrews (Bass/Vocals) and Billy George Utting (Vocals/Guitar).

We are Sleemo, an alternative/punk group of three, based in the sweet city of Norwich. Big boom of delay and distortion.
