"can you picture what we could do? you and I..."
I don't know much about singer-songwriter Robin Hayes except that he is half American, half Swedish and currently living in Sweden, oh and that he writes evocative songs that sometimes (to me) feel like soundtrack to 70's B movies.
Take for example, the lovely swaying "Can You Picture?". From the onset it rides on an almost galloping ride of country-sque piano, a square step drum beat, acoustic piano and Haye's earthy vocal aesthetic and porch folk blues melodies that has tinges of Van Morrison and Little Feat combined. It does (to me) feel perfectly suited for a non-commercial 70's movie or one made today that happens to have sort of Polaroid skewed affection.
