Several Perceptions (Snipe Mix) by Cronin, the musical project of Irish brothers Johnny and Michael Cronin, feels novel-esque in it's narrative and cinematic in it's avant garde blend of lounge rock, Goth pop (with surprisingly funky affections), tribal filters and a proto punk clinched fists. At one point with hand claps blazing, it feels rather like a punk disco with a dance line breaking out. Gluing this audacious party of imagery and sound are the vox, and what fucking vox they are. Poised in such a kind of grand artful way, the pushed muscularity and sort of beautifully sultry askew dark style feels like an amalgam of Nick Cave and Tom Jones.

THE FACTS AS WE KNOW THEM - PRESS NOTES:
Cronin is the musical project of Irish brothers Johnny and Michael Cronin. Along with Fiachra Milner and Brain Murphy they recorded A View from The Next Room at their own Transmission Rooms recording studio.
Returning from the UK to their native Ireland in the early 2000's they started releasing music under The Aftermath name for which they earned critical and commercial success in the charts and radio.
They collaborate regularly with legendary Pogues frontman Shane MacGowan, appearing with him on studio sessions, live gigs and TV shows. In addition, they performed his classic A Rainy Night in Soho at his wedding with actor Johnny Depp on guitar.
