"she couldn't even wait for the sunset to leave"
Los Angeles based SWIMM shift things up on the indie dreamy rock / pop forward "Feel Better". While sounding very organic at times, there is a lushness here. Glossy dynamic vocal effects dashed with bits of vocoder push surreal buttons but, at the same time, this song will fall into acoustic forays with passionate vox that feel anthemic.
[The track offers solace and hope to a young LA woman who has fallen victim to “the cliches of men in Hollywood taking advantage of starry-eyed transplants for the first time” as vocalist, Chris Hess (a.k.a Cookie), puts it. As the guitars roll over a soul-soothing beat accented by a myriad of carefully arranged synths, the song’s protagonist let’s his friend know it is ok for her to slow down and do what she needs to do to feel good.]
The accompanying video rides on artistic framing and some amazing drone shots over an amazing beach as a woman in red runs along the beautifully textured coastline in total isolation. She is free to be free and herself.

SWIMM have carved their own way into the Los Angeles scene with their DIY shows at their warehouse home ‘The Cube’ and now, their very own east side festival Love You Down. Three years running, the last of which sold out two nights in a row with
SWIMM sharing the main stage with Echo Park legends Warpaint. In 2020 they are teaming up with Australian label Sweat It Out and LA subsidiary Sunset Mesa Records.
