Deyssi’s track “Pound Cake” has just been unleashed along with their album “$273.96,” a noisy wild ride through pummeling sound. The track features vehemently loud noise paired with free verse lyricism, which feels more organic in conveying what you feel without worrying about how to make it rhyme. Deyssi are formerly known as Daisy around the Los Angeles area, and would usually be out playing shows if it weren’t for the pandemic. Like most of us, releasing music during this time is cathartic and this album delivers hysteric and insidious noise you can’t ignore. Listen to “Pound Cake” and check out the rest of “$273.96” out now on Chain Letter Collective and all online platforms.

Pound Cake:
Make yourself an anchor,
The bird is clanging.
Naked in your carriage,
I lick you.
All of these claws,
And olive trees.
Take me off your collar,
Let it grow, Let it curl, Let it.
Oh God, I need heaven.
All this shame is a dog.
Love isn’t enough.
Hold me by my wrist,
The bird is clanging.
Mother’s calling,
Make me laugh.
Make up for your bastard,
Love isn’t enough, mother
Oh God, I need heaven.
All this shame is a dog.
I’ll live in wealth, if you let me.
Mark distaste with a cross.
