"watching myself die..."
7Mondays is the indie music project of Isacco Scarriglia and Alessandro Franco based out of Crotone, a port city in southern Italy. These talented composers and musicians create their sounds in their home studio. When I heard "Tape Rewind" from their upcoming debut EP dropping in the spring via Dirty Beach and Truebypass, I instantly thought of a blending of proto punk jagged sounds and more current indie pop rock and felt a collision of bands like The Drums and Bad Sun as well as the proggy emo affections of artists like Tiny Moving Parts. Loving the counterpoised guitars, the choppy drum shifts, amazing bass work and strident vox. Cool sounds and my first introduction.
