"I see beauty everywhere / Every single day / In everyone I know"
"Under the Cosmic Tree" by Los Angeles based Death Hags, the project of musician, producer Lola G. floats in between the crux of our souls and other worlds, traversing spaces between Beach House, Aphex Twin and the scene in Edwards Scissorhands when he is creating a huge snow angel and in the process creates snow that rains down on Kim (as played by Winona Ryder). That scene has awe and joy blended in with crushing sadness and I get that sense with a lot of Lola's art and especially this track.
Death Hags continues to create surrealist art informed by the real, the organic.
"Third single from Volume 3 of "BIG GREY SUN" released on Earth Day April 22. A track that emerged from the sound experimentation I did for the space ambient album Life of a Space Tree it is the sound of a tree stretching its branches but also of a human coming back to life." - Lola G
