"so I think about..."
Vignesh Anil is a solo artist based in India and his shape shifting "Saturate" exists as emotional soundscape. Quite frankly, the shoegaze nature of parts of this journey, especially the vox are nearly indecipherable but it really doesn't matter. The density of sound, interestingly enough, built on a minimalist frameworks keep you vastly engaged. The dreamy guitar work and Anil's vocal lilt and wail pushing through a thick electronic haze forms something that is beautiful in tone, texture and melody. When the song erupts into a big wave of downbeats and big ascensions after a surprisingly sparse change musically and emotionally, it feels more proggy and the tumultuous nature feels like an emotional collision, inner turmoil. It is a divergent post rock ending that feels fitting and in some sense, "Saturate" feels like a three act sonic play. Would I of liked to be able to feel, to fully hear the lyrical sweep more, probably, but key within this track is also the need to not have to.

I'm a 22-year-old singer/songwriter from India who makes music that deals with deeply introspective subjects masked beneath abstract lyricism. I'm inspired by the DIY approach to making music and creating intricate soundscapes that paint a different image in each listener's mind. My goal is to be able to humanize the art of writing and performing music in a way that can hopefully take away the intimidation that comes with starting off and instead give people reason and hope to try and create art on their own.
