"Don’t want to find myself, just want to lose me in you..."
"I Knowww" by German band das bisschen Totschlag is an exercise in building atmosphere, a demonstration of how lo-fi synth lines, ambient sounds that rattle the inside of your brain (that you may not be able to identify), a devastatingly simple but sadly beautiful guitar progression, a heavy yet static drum beat, and somber vocals that seem to rise as they are falling (emotionally) all marching on like a dead man walking, all pushing hard against but not stepping all the way into dissonant places can be so, sooo utterly hypnotic.
"I Knowww" (that makes me think of a depressed Weezer from another universe) and from the band's upcoming album "NO RISIKO" ( 11.02.22 ) was written by das bisschen Totschlag (which Google Translate defines as 'that little bit of manslaughter') and produced by Kristian Kühl at Studio Ton13 in Hamburg.
This is the kind of song that could easily, happily never end and in fact I wish someone would make an odd movie where that happens, "I Knowww" as a defining never ending soundtrack of a persons story. Please someone do this, pretty please.

evoking the sentimental attraction of the everyday, das bisschen Totschlag is all about the beauty of vulnerability in the Digital Age and the ever more apparent fact that nothing really matters.
