Bad Flamingo and the fiery, popping country pop noir of "Rolling Around in It"

"Bad Flamingo" exists in another universe where people hide behind masks and I don't mean of the N-95 variety. This duo's signature sound is a cocktail comprised of spaghetti westerns, pop noir, kitsch, tongues implanted in cheeks, slow burning sensuality and leather, well faux leather anyway. I have written about them often since 2018 (each time sporting different types of western noir glitz) and they still, still remain an utter mystery. 

Their latest "Rolling Around in It" burns slow and amid the snaking bass lines, stair stepping guitar shapes, slithering piano, galloping percussion and a captivating vocal aesthetic that feels like a pop / country amalgam of Gwen Stefani and Rosanne Cash sparks and pops like a campfire until the song shape shifts with elegant orchestrations that are just plain gorgeous. 

Again, Bad Flamingo are a mystery but on their official website it states the following:
