"when I look at you, I don't feel a thing / all that I have left is the dirt still on my feet..."
Within "Black Sedan" by the amazing Laura Lang percolates a mish mosh of emotional textures. And the thing is, the narrative feels contextual and like viewing an emotional prism from different places, the story runs dark and light, runs hot and cold. As the song moves through it's elegant paces it mystifies and then erupts. This shape shifting nature is present in all of these gorgeous songs hopefully curated, placed end to end, in such a way that each song becomes part of a whole narrative. "My Murder of Crows" by Soul Chatter, like porch gospel spins wanderlust stories and "Lust" by zzzahara floats in folk laden dream pop atmospheres. BeeS by Ourida stirs baroque pop and dips it in a jazz pop pudding and "Aspirations" by UK's Marcus Man is folk rock buskery and so warm. "Calm Down. It's Morning" by Sleepy Jesus reminds us that a new sunrise means we survived and live to fight and love again.
"Adrenalin Tears" is a collection of various songs that played from top to bottom is a roller coaster of catharsis. A narrative designed to purge stress and replace with hopeful dreams.
