"Uppe På Taket"
The odd and wonderful "Uppe På Taket" by the Swedish electronic duo För Levande & Döda (For the living and the dead) moves on deep stop and start grooves and darkly dreamy vox sung in Swedish. The song feels like an electronic beast, breathing, lurching around with a mechanical heart covered with flesh and blood. The duo produce their sonic dramas remotely with Jari Haapalainen (from The Bear Quartet) residing in Athens, Greece and Martin Hasselgren (Boy Omega) living in the small village Nol in Sweden.
As press notey stuff reveal:
[Jari and Martin met at a Boy Omega concert in Berlin and found each other musically via a long night on the town and intense subsequent email correspondence. An inspired musical process took shape and now their debut (mini) album is finally out!]
