"I started using my words instead of using the letters..."
Some artists wear their emotions on their proverbial sleeves but listening to the raw consequences of "New Year New Me" by javahead, "a solo secluded project to pass the time", I feel the emotions deep in this guys bones, fleshed over with scars and bruises too. Likely really solo as in, javahead plays everything (and to me the drums sound / feel real too), there is the hardened synergy of a solo project. Done right and knowing all the parts intrinsically, a good multi-instrumentalist will sound like a band, a live band and "New Year New Me" succeeds in this way.
A secluded solo project to pass the time. Influenced by early 70's artists like Emitt Rhodes and Kevin Ayers.
The power and aesthetic between indie rock and power pop / punk feels raw and honest, a combination of self deprecation and bloodletting. javahead shares that this track was:
"recorded to four-track cassette, New Year New Me reveals the push and pull of introversion and wanting to leave the house"

Hey, all of us at some time feels anxious when leaving the house and I am thankful that javahead crafts art to pass the time.
