Dip into "Main Road" by Barcelona, Spain born dog:cat and I figure that Marc (composition, vocals, guitar), Xavi (bass), Miquel (drums), Lluís (guitar) and Albert (synthetizers, guitar, vox) have stars in their eyes. There is a lovely road worn quality to this track held together by a somber but passionate sinewy glue of life having been lived.
The folk rock languid ramble with 90's jangle pop / indie rock frames had me thinking of that timeless sound that comes from the seeds of psych rock, post punk, alt rock and folk only to be an amalgam of all of it. I love the melancholy and the explosive lead guitar that feels so fucking beautiful too. As far as descriptors, as far as sonic kinfolk, I thought of bands like Wild Pink, thought of The War on Drugs and in the periphery (or rear view mirror) I even thought of Springsteen.

dog:cat és una banda amb origen a Barcelona, activa desde 2020. Els seus 5 components han begut de moltes i molt variades influències musicals durant la seva joventut, fet que a la seva maduresa es tradueix en un estil eclèctic i difícil d'etiquetar. Al so de dog:cat hi predomina la calma i la generació d'atmòsferes que volen immergir l'oient a la seva banda sonora particular. En una paraula, la seva música es podria definir com a rock, encara que realment hi trobem pinzellades de psicodèlia, folk, electrònica, slowcore, noise i pop. Marc (composició, veus, guitarra), Xavi (baix), Miquel (bateria), Lluís (guitarra) i Albert (sintetitzadors, guitarra, veus) han publicat ja sota el nom de dog:cat diferent EP i senzills. Actualment estan en procés de gravació de nous temes i presentant-los en directe.
