"and leave the rest behind you..."
I have never dropped acid, hell, I've never even held it. Now, the sideways abstractions and pop prowess of "ode to acid" by Thessaloniki, Greece based Oktavision has both aesthetics colliding along with other sonic hits. The sci-fi wizzes of sound, the 60's psychedelic organ-esque keys, the almost sort of Euro dance pop polka / disco cadence and the lushly pretty and embracing vocals is like a cross generational blend, an amalgam of artists like Syd Barrett, MGMT, Gong, Cut Copy, ABBA.
A worth description of Oktavision via LINER NOTES:
[Multiple angles- multiple views ,Whether your point of view sets off the Panopticon center or from every single angle separately. A cross-genre project ,mixing many electronic genres, from electro clash to shoegaze - dream pop and from trip hop to industrial ambient. Main adhesive force: the imaginative songwriting.]
"ode to acid" is Oktavision's opening track from their new album "Pray to the Holy Ghost" now on every major streaming platform.
