The neon synthwave magnetism of "Down The Road" by Brisbane, Australia artist, indie electronic producer hedfog is pitch perfect in it's 80's new wave / post punk blended atmospheres. Now, I say 80's new wave (even late 70's) but, truth be told, this sound is one of the fastest growing genres reborn today within the pop landscape, within the Spotify top 100. hedfog's constructions, the pulsating, brain rattling bass synths and rumbling other synth counter attacks, squeals and blips on top of the hypnotic machine beats is a perfect framework for hedfog's vocal countenance complete with a sultry 80's vocal drawl, cajole. The production, the sound is worthy of the iconic Muff Winwood and if you don't know who that is, shame on you (ha).
