"Well, in a sentient time / When you were bored at the back of a line In a shock where you can't see an end / Got you thinking 'bout Schrödinger's cat within a box..."
The punk bred no punk existential body slam of "ENERGY" by London's Luxury apartments is delicious in it's darkly drawn chopped up guitars, spiral sonic descents and Brit drawl vocal wails. The sensibility is not only beautifully nostalgic, progressive in it's subversions but downright metaphysical in it's emotional or societal commentary. The black ink Rorschach and awe splatter on the wall might be interpreted as sonic connections to artists like The Murder Capital, Public Image Ltd, The Lounge Society or vastly different lightning seeds to you.
No more energy
No more energy
Energy
Enеrgy
Energy, struggling to understand
Energy, find it hard to movе your hands
Energy, it's not going all to plan
Energy, when you fall, you will demand
I don't know what to think except that I truly dig the sound (yes I still say dig). I totally appreciate, am enamored with the raw reflections, with the snarling, with the revival rock as new and vital.
"ENERGY" is from Luxury apartments' eponymous album out now. Buzz on over to their Bandcamp page to delve in all the way.

In my Father's house are many luxury apartments: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
