The sparkling alt rock heaviness and emotional post punk dreaminess of "Dreamer's Guild", by Georgia's Couch Cult, propels you into a sonic wash of punchy progressive alt rock meets groove driven dream pop. I am digging the quiet loud aesthetic, the big bottom bass shapes, airy lead guitar percolations, big drums and the killer vox courtesy of guitarist Robin. In terms of the alt rock abstractions I feel adjacent artists like Pylon, The Mars Volta, Bush Tetras (circa Bird on a Wire) or an amalgam of all such artists. I am appreciating the lyrical poetry, abstract and thought provoking.

The music came from the feeling of being suspended like when you’re half-awake, unable to move, trapped between dreaming and reality. It’s about that strange twilight zone we all seemed to be in together. It captures the unsettling rhythm of a year when much felt beyond our control."
