Animal Waves righteous rock sound on "WTF"

WTF by Animal Waves is saturated with the kind of basic rock and roll meets garage rock meets blues rock meets psychotropic drugs that makes teenagers head-bang in whatever decade they exist in. It is a familiar sound birthed by bands like Detroit's MC-5 infecting scads of bands like Led Zep, Black Sabbath, The Stooges, The Dictators, The Velvet Underground. That sounds has been reshaped and re-interpreted as of late by bands like Ty Segal, Jack White, Sic Alps and more. Animal Waves carries the whiskey infused torch and it sounds so fucking good.

Animal Waves is the lovechild of Robert Wayne Davis, an underground LA session player and former guitarist of Lauryn Hill. Animal Waves released the thunderous contemplation, "WTF," the first track from debut EP1, set for release on September 28.
