The Boy by Kyson glides upon intimate pronoucements, synths that move in mysterious ways flirting with dissonance and 80's infected tones, dreamy electric guitar, backing vox that make feels like 70's chamber pop, and light but solid bass and drums. Jian Liews closed eyed internal vocal performance feels so intimate. Within the sparse and simple production, The Boy, feels like indie pop twisted into something else and is from the upcoming third album, self titled album "Kyson" due out January 17th (2020) on B3SCI Records.

THE FACTS AS WE KNOW THEM - PRESS NOTES:
"I try to make music ever day- I want to be there when the inspiration comes. So I kept making music," says Jian Liew, better known as Kyson, the synth-shaman of teleporting sounds. "There are no borders to what you can do. It's limitless."
Lucky for us, this has culminated in his third album, the self-titled Kyson (out January 17, 2020 on B3SCI Records), a sonic memoir that jailbreaks Kyson's repertoire through a depth of narrative and tactile instrumentation. Where he ensconced his other releases in escapism, this one- by design- hits you in your soul. In anticipation of the forthcoming album, Kyson gifts us with a double release of "Innocence Arrogance" (along with an accompanying video) and "The Boy."
Heading into this album release, Kyson has already received support from numerous playlists including Spotify's New Music Friday, Dummy, airplay on Triple J, support from KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic, BBC, and love from Kodak and other tastemakers in the film world. This project also had the help of talents BD Graft, Sebastian Maschat (Whitest Boy Alive), Andrew Sarlo (Big Thief/Nick Hakim/Local Natives), Heba Kaudry (Beach House/Bjork) and more.
