"feeling of self imprisonment"
Beauts hail from Halifax, Nova Scotia so penning a dreamy rocker about being snowed in or using that feeling of self imprisonment as a metaphor seems appropriate, seems normal and the track Shut In is such a track. Apart from the kind of staid dreamy vox, it is a driving rocker with double time guitars and a machine like movement. The drumming and or percussion like a wild ticking clock. That feeling almost becomes oppressive (maybe by design) but thankfully at one point, the drums break free and it becomes more driving and soaring.
Shut In is from the 2020 "Dalliance" album (out now).
