"Can you forget the lie, the boy who was on fire"
Songwriter and producer Josh Schroeder must have some trippy dreams, day or night. On his solo project as EXROYALE he has crafted a kind of dark neon tapestry of sounds that envelope his ethereally effected vocal performance on "The Boy Who Was On Fire." It has a simple yet evocative sonic density and every time I listen, I turn it up a little bit louder.
He also created the lyric video below.

THE FACTS AS WE KNOW THEM - PRESS NOTES:
EXROYALE continues his new musical world of late night drives and after hour confessionals. His new single, "The Boy Who Was On Fire" is a dreamy, synth-infused rumination on forgiveness and moving forward. Modulated vocals and guitars undulate in understated chorused-tones and methodically build into their low-key climax.
Lyrically, the dialogue is one-sided. “Could you forgive me now, and give this one more try? Can you forget the lie, the boy who was on fire.” In the end things could all fall apart but... “we can always know we gave it a try.”
EXROYALE is the solo project of songwriter and producer Josh Schroeder. He created the single artwork, and from that, animated the artwork to create the music video for "The Boy Who Was On Fire."
