"themes of nostalgia and seizing the moment"
Houses by Buckinghamshire, UK based singer songwriter Nick Byrne has a cold dark chill to it's sound, as if the weather is mild but a dark storm is poised on the horizon. The acoustic double time cadence and Byrne's beautifully poised vox as storyteller as comforting brother or friend is inviting. You are embraced further by orchestrated sounds and electric guitar lines but it is Byrne's layers of vocals that hold you close. His voice might make you melt or cry or want so much to be in the arms of those who love you.

THE FACTS AS WE KNOW THEM - PRESS NOTES:
Nick Byrne, has a developed a habit of writing melancholy indie-folk songs, often packed with key visual motifs. Based in leafy Buckinghamshire, UK, the natural world has been a strong influence on him, such as in 2017’s single ‘Birch Tree’, which garnered praise from BBC Introducing as well as airplay on BBC Wales’ and BBC Ulster’s Folk Shows, helping him secure a notable slot supporting Declan McKenna. Pure M described 2016’s 5-track ‘Through The Tall Grass’ EP as “a remarkably potent and heavily atmospheric work”. With Nick playing live with a three-piece band and continued recording sessions underway with Jake Robbins (Weird Milk, Ben McKelvey), 2020 is sure to be the year you make a home for this captivating songwriter in your music collection.
