"everywhere I look there is always something in my eye"
Bristol (UK) indie rock artist Robi Mitch crafts a cool breezy soft slice of psyche pop in Can't Win. There is a lot to like and it all centers around Mitch's dreamy croon and dance sway that hugs you as you listen. There are lo-fi affections but produced up nicely with dreamy guitar and vox breaks, pushed percussion, machine beats and drums that serve the song narrative in truly divergent ways. Usually songs as tropical punk-esque as this are content to find a delicious groove all the way through but Mitch surprises with a bridge that takes a deeply surprising left turn elevating the song and perking up all our ears at the same time.

"Timeless songwriting." (Bristol In Stereo)
Bristol indie rock outlander Robi Mitch offers Our Year, his debut as a solo artist. The songs draw influence from '70s British psychedelia and the breezy indie pop of Taiwan where Robi previously worked as a session musician. Warmly nostalgic and tinged with melancholy, Our Year philosophically explores the conditions of modern life within the cosiness of Robi's lo-fi production and laid back vocals.
Praise for Our Year:

“Heavenly.” Obscure Sound
“Better than good.” Incubator Music
