"don't blame it on me"
I don't know what to think about Mr. Hymn's inspired reinterpretation, remix, re-imagining of Stevie Nick's "Wild Heart." When I say that I mean from a philosophical standpoint. From an artistic standpoint it fills my heart with a fair amount of glee so I'm going with it. Besides, Mr. Hymn, the artistic musical project of singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist Dominc Sena based out of Austin, Texas, is utterly transparent in the songs creation and thrust, so to speak, and all proceeds go to two great causes.
[A remix/reimagining of Stevie Nick's "Wild Heart." Original verses by Mr. Hymn, chorus by Stevie Nicks. Original sample used from 1981 Rolling Stone footage of Stevie Nicks singing backstage. The original title of the demo is "Can't Go Back" written by Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham. All payments and proceeds for this track will be split between the Austin Justice Coalition (Austin, TX) and American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. In a world when you are supposed take sides on absolutely everything I am ok with feeling vague about how artists utilize aspects of media out in the world. I wonder, if in today's society if Campbell Soup would of sued or blocked Andy Warhol's many versions of their product(?). Enjoy and support right now!
