"don't wait for my attention..."
Polar Klub's tripfest "The Devil" (Lives in My Flat) begins with a John Dwyer-esque spring reverbed guitar tweak that shoot sonic induced endorphins through me. The rush continues as the upfront beats pushes the jagged post punk / indie rocker forward. The vox are pushed back in a nice shoegazey haze and the formidable bass drive and haunted guitar progs that, at once, move sideways but dip down in surprising ways feels like a feverish midnight run. I though of the Cosmonauts (from So. Cal) too during their glory days although Polar Klub based in and around Glarus, Switzerland (at least on this track) paint with darker tones.
I love what I am hearing, the sense of movement alone that churns, that gets in your head sparking synapses like an intoxicant is worth the ride.

Here comes a psychedelic indie trip played by a little man from the Swiss mountains. Noisy, brilliant and with heart and soul.
In may, Polar Klub burst into the local indie scene with a big bang. Not only because the musician from Glarus/CH stated in his debut single «I Don't Dance» that he really doesn't like dancing. Never ever.
But also because you can't get his psychedelic shoegaze-sound out of your head. Now Polar Klub is releasing his new single «Limerence». This time, inspiration comes from bands like Wire, DIIV, or Ride – you can't be wrong with those.
