Vienna based Almost Famous squeeze, blend, fuse, hybridize R&B, soul, conscious hip hop, and heavy metal into something invigorating, something that feels fresh but also hearkens back. Take their track "Focus", it exquisitely combines all those genres in such alluring ways and while the broad positive message of "Focus" may not feel as politically strident as certain politico rap preachers of the 70's as I listened to Wemimo Adeyemi, Mike Seidl, Stephan Paulitsch and Michael Schatzmann do their thing I did feel a mix of social activism and broad pop hip hop like an amalgam of Gil Scott-Heron, Public Enemy, Rage Against the Machine and Queen Latifah.
The rhymes are mesmerizing, the heavy metal punch is mind blowing and the soul pop ascensions are funky and beautiful.
[Almost Famous invites you to step into your power by exercising a key ingredient to manifesting your dreams - Focus.
You wouldn’t be having those dreams if they weren’t meant for you- on that note ;
brush your shoulders off, gain perspective of the bigger picture, turn up the volume and
“believe it receive it, think about it be about it - check your ego and proceed without it”
And remember:
“What you seek is seeking you!”]
