"say the things you wanna say, then wrap your arms around me..."
Step onto the dream pop dance floor that is "Wrap Your Arms" by Sweden's ViVii and I cannot decide what is more gorgeous the shifting girl / boy vox or the bass line and beat that absolutely embraces you. There is more, of course, pearly synths, backing vox layered in and a sort of beautiful dreamy dance feel that cast images of a million shards of glitter ball light raining down.
The 3 piece band comprised of Anders, Caroline and Emil share that "Wrap Your Arms" started as an instrumental and was going to stay that way:
"This was an instrumental track that we loved and didn’t want to ruin with vocals but at the end of the day we couldn’t keep our fingers away from it. We pretty much wrote it through teams, haha. A song about loving to be alone but also hating it."
ViVii are in the states doing the SWSW thing in Austin and then touring Germany and Sweden. Love this song and singing the melody all day.
