"if you want me to love you / you don't have to do a thing..."
Israeli illustrator of divided cars (something I have never written or even thought about) and singer-songwriter / producer Monoq has a different way of looking at things. Now you might be able to argue that everyone has their own unique view of life but I have the feeling that Monoq is about as far away from a human lemming as can be. Just the fact that he seems to have developed his own genre of art is pretty brilliant.
You can almost instantly feel his divergent brain listening to his latest track "Down Feather" from the top down (or bottom up) from the warbled synths, lead guitar lines and patterns, chill but funky bass lines, jangled drum beat and especially his curious lyrics held together by a vocal performance that feels all ID and all fun.
"Down Feather" makes me smile and want to pretend I can move in the wind.
